Microsoft Hyper-V Failover Clusters now supported in NAKIVO 7.1

Just a few months ago NAKIVO released version 7, a major release that added several new features, one of which was the support for Hyper-V backup. Today NAKIVO has released version 7.1 which builds upon that feature set by adding support for Hyper-V failover clusters!

NAKIVO Backup already supports VMware, Hyper-V, and AWS EC2 environments and the addition of version 7.1 with Hyper-V failover cluters support further expands on that feature set.

Chris Halstead (@chrisdhalsted), just made every Horizon View administrators job just a little bit easier by releasing a free tool that will allow you to setup alerts and notifications for events in View such as Warnings and Audit failures. The Horizon View Events Notifier tool uses SMTP and allows you to add multiple addresses in the alert recipients field.

CrashPlan Backup

A little while ago I posted several ways to improve the security on your Synology NAS and was recently asked about how to install CrashPlan on a Synology NAS. Synology doesn’t have it’s own pre-built package available, but luckily PC Load Letter from the Synology community has stepped up and made a Synology package that works beautifully – the only downside is his instructions are a bit dated and I found harder than they needed to be.
